As we move into the peak season for produce exports, Napier Port will be extending opening hours at our Western Gate and Thames Street I and II Depots. Read on to view our hours of operation from Monday 1 March 2021 to Friday 4 June 2021.
Napier Port is constantly looking at ways to maximise efficiencies across our operations and continue to provide our customers with a high level of customer service. As part of this process, we are implementing a change to our import container collection process next month.
We are actively working to ensure the flow of your cargo through Napier Port during busy times, particularly during our traditional export peak season. As per our previous communication in January, we have introduced a seven day container receival window. From 6:00am this Monday 15 February, we will only accept containers seven calendar days out from the arrival of the vessel on which that container is booked and confirmed.
As an international border, Napier Port is required to operate under the Maritime Security – International Ship and Port Security (ISPS) code. In addition, we are also subject to Department of Immigration and NZ Customs requirements.
