Business Update: Impact of ongoing shipping schedule disruption

Over the past few weeks, we have all experienced a noticeable spike in disruption to
shipping schedules; and we are extremely mindful of the impact this is having on your supply
chains. Our Commercial, Container Operations and Supply Chain teams are constantly working on
possible solutions and we thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Hours of Operation: Easter 2021

Over the upcoming Easter weekend, please be advised that Napier Port’s Container Terminal and Thames Street I and II Depots will be closed for receiving and delivery on Good Friday and Easter Sunday but will open on the Saturday and Easter Monday. Read on to view our Easter weekend hours of operation.

Important Update – Six Day Container Receival Window will start from Monday 29 March

Unprecedented schedule unreliability is continuing to cause significant challenges across the current export peak season due to ongoing congestion across the wider supply chain. In order to proactively manage the flow of cargo through Napier Port and to provide certainty and guarantee our level of service to our customers, we have made the difficult decision to reduce our current container receival window to a new Six Day Container Receival Window starting effective from 6:00am Monday 29 March 2021.

Important Container Receival Window Update

Due to continued schedule unreliability, we are no longer able to accept any dry or reefer containers prior to their seven-day container receival window opens. Certain exemptions have been made to date and this will no longer be possible. This new process is effective immediately – today Friday 19 March, and will continue until further notice.
