6 Wharf Operational Planning – Vessels will now berth Port side to at Napier Port
August 25th, 2022
Kia ora,
We were thrilled to officially open our new 6 Wharf – formally named Te Whiti, last month on 22 July. Since coming on line, 6 Wharf has been working well and our Container Operations teams have been busy implementing and fine-tuning a number of safety and efficiency improvements across our own operations.
6 Wharf Operational Planning
As an update on 6 Wharf operational planning going forward, please now plan vessels calling at Napier Port for port side to berthing. The restrictions that were previously in place for work on the port side of the vessel will now swap to being on the starboard side of the vessel.
There are still weight restrictions relevant to our 6 Wharf operations, and these are outlined in the image below and reflect the change to port side to berthing.
Thank you for your understanding. If you have any questions, please contact me on chrisw@napierport.co.nz or +64 6 833 4413.
At the United Nations summit meeting in September 2015, world leaders adopted 17 global goals (and 169 targets) as a set of universal goals that aim to address the urgent environmental, political and economic challenges facing our world. These are known as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
