There was creativity in spades at Napier Port’s A&P Show stall this year – including a painted road, shipping container, display boat and many, many red balloons.
Napier Port pulled out all the stops, with a colourful and interactive stall that gave the community a little glimpse into life at the port. The Napier Port team received a wonderfully warm welcome from the Hawke’s Bay public, and the stall even took out the Highly Commended prize.
But it was the colouring competition that proved to be the biggest hit, with 67 entries from children aged two to 10. The competition design was an outline of two tug boats, guiding a ship into Napier Port.
The competition winner was five-year-old Nieve Juno, with her imaginative polka dot and rainbow design. Congratulations to Nieve and everyone who entered, for giving the port such a colourful makeover.
