Breakwater reinforcement works, Monday 10 June – Friday 14 June

Napier Port is reinforcing part of our breakwater from Monday 10 June until Friday 21 June as part of our regular maintenance programme.
The reinforcement work will run alongside Cassidy Road opposite sheds 7, 8, 9 and 10 as indicated below.
What’s involved?
A specialised crane will lift concrete cubes/akmons onto the breakwater to reinforce it. While akmons are being placed, Cassidy Road will be closed and an alternative route will be in place to enable the work to be conducted safely.
When is it happening?
The reinforcement work is taking place from: Monday 10 June until Friday 21 June.

All those in the area of: Berths 1, 2 North and 2 South, the adjacent log storage areas, and Sheds 7, 8, 9 and 10 from Monday 10 June until Friday 21 June need to adhere to the revised traffic management flows. Revised routes will be communicated via Site Work Alerts and will be clearly marked with cones and signage on the day.
