Pre-Employment Checks

Napier Port prioritises the safety of all our people in all areas of our business.

In order to ensure our staff can meet our high safety standards, we carry out a range of pre-employment checks. These include, but are not limited to:

  • A full drug test
  • A Ministry of Justice criminal justice check
  • A medical (the extent of your medical may vary depending on your role)

You may also be asked to complete psychometric or proficiency testing prior to being accepted for a role.

We also conduct regular drug and alcohol testing for all employees on a randomised basis throughout the year.

 Do you have a passion for systems and process and want to work in a dynamic business where every day is different? If so, Napier Port is the place for you.

We are looking for an Operations Systems Specialist to join our positive and proactive Optimisation Team. The focus of the role will be to support teams across operations and external customers to get the best out of the terminal operating system (TOS) N4 and other operations related systems.

  • Have experience with software systems to deliver operational results

What we are looking for - 

  • A self-motivated individual capable of proactive oversight of the Terminal Operating System to ensure day-to-day service delivery and development of systems capacity 
  • Working with customisable operational focused computer systems
  • Partnering with system users to understand problems and develop solutions
  • Creating a plan and following it through
  • Experience with Navis N4 or logistics systems would be an advantage
  • Strong relationship management and systems acumen
