Health and safety

Safety is at the heart of everything we do.

Our people are our most important asset, so everything we do has health and safety at its core.

Being part of Napier Port means taking responsibility for your safety, and the safety of those around you. With high standards and the right attitude, we strive to make every experience a safe one.

Today’s target is to stay safe but we never stop thinking about tomorrow. Napier Port has earned a reputation as an industry leader in safety and innovation. We’ve worked hard to get it. If there’s a safer way to deliver for our customers and their cargo, Napier Port will find it.

Working safely on port

We want to make sure that everyone who comes to Napier Port goes home safely to their families every day.

Important Note: Now that we are at Alert level 1, Port Pass card collections have resumed from Monday 15 June 2020.  Card collection details are available here.

The Port Pass ID and access system is part of our wider efforts to make port induction and access as streamlined as possible for our regular Napier Port users.

Port Pass go-live in August
Our high-tech infrastructure system to support Port Pass is on track to be completed and up and running in August. Once this system is live, all port users will need to have a Port Pass card to access Napier Port. Please note that users with old or temporary versions of the port access card will not be able to use these once the Port Pass infrastructure is live. Further details to follow in the coming weeks.

If you have any questions or experience any issues with Port Pass or the registration process, please contact the Port Pass team via email: support@napierport.co.nz or phone: +64 (6) 833 4444.
