Health and safety

Safety is at the heart of everything we do.

Our people are our most important asset, so everything we do has health and safety at its core.

Being part of Napier Port means taking responsibility for your safety, and the safety of those around you. With high standards and the right attitude, we strive to make every experience a safe one.

Today’s target is to stay safe but we never stop thinking about tomorrow. Napier Port has earned a reputation as an industry leader in safety and innovation. We’ve worked hard to get it. If there’s a safer way to deliver for our customers and their cargo, Napier Port will find it.

Working safely on port

We want to make sure that everyone who comes to Napier Port goes home safely to their families every day.

Important Note: As a result of recent COVID-19 developments, the issuing of Port Pass access cards has been suspended from 6am on the 25th of March, until further notice.

Napier Port will remain open for essential services, therefore, if you have a sound business reason, a valid H&S induction and a form of photo identification, you can still access Napier Port.

Note – to get a valid H&S induction:

Please apply for a Port Pass card, validate your email, and follow up with your company administrator to pay the invoice. You will then receive an H&S induction. Once completed, PRINT the induction certificate and present to Security along with your form of ID, and they will allow you onsite until we resume printing Port Pass cards.
