IMPORTANT UPDATE: Port Eastern Gate will be closed temporarily today from 1730
Kia ora,
Due to significant swell and weather conditions, we have made the decision to temporarily close the port’s Eastern Gate to all traffic as a safety precaution. This closure will be in place from this afternoon 1730 through until at least 0900 tomorrow morning. We will provide a further update before 0900.
All regular Eastern Gate traffic will need to access the port via Lane 1 at the Western Gate entrance. Our Access and Customer Services team will be on hand to assist with traffic management (as pictured below) through to the eastern side of the port.

Sustainability aligned with global goals:
At the United Nations summit meeting in September 2015, world leaders adopted 17 global goals (and 169 targets) as a set of universal goals that aim to address the urgent environmental, political and economic challenges facing our world. These are known as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
More information on the SDGs and how Napier Port’s Sustainability Strategy aligns to these can be found here >>
