IMPORTANT UPDATE: Port Eastern Gate will remain closed until Monday, with alternative port access available via the Western Gate
Kia ora,
After a full safety assessment by our Assets and Infrastructure team this morning, unfortunately the port’s Eastern Gate will remain closed to all traffic until Monday. This is a safety precaution as we monitor the ongoing swell conditions. We will provide another update as we have more information to hand.
All regular Eastern Gate traffic can continue to access the port via Lane 1 at the Western Gate entrance. Our Access and Customer Services team will be on hand to assist with traffic management (as pictured below) through to the eastern side of the port.

THANK YOU
Thank you in advance for your patience and support with this ongoing closure, and please be aware when driving on port along any different routes.

Sustainability aligned with global goals:
At the United Nations summit meeting in September 2015, world leaders adopted 17 global goals (and 169 targets) as a set of universal goals that aim to address the urgent environmental, political and economic challenges facing our world. These are known as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
More information on the SDGs and how Napier Port’s Sustainability Strategy aligns to these can be found here >>
