As we commence Alert Level 2 this week, Napier Port is making further adjustments to shift our operations back towards a new normal. The port team would like to thank all of our customers and partners for working together with us over the last two months. The lockdown period has been a challenging time for all and your continued support and cooperation has been appreciated.
Vessel operations
Effective from Monday 18 May, we will be reverting back to a three crane smoko on all shifts where the volume warrants the extra deployment. This change has already been advised to container shipping lines.
Napier Port R&D hours of operation – effective from Monday 18 May
From Monday 18 May, we will be stopping the current gate closure between 1430 to 1530, which effectively releases an additional 35 VBS slots during this time. Our new hours of operations will be as follows:

Queen’s Birthday – Monday 1 June
Please note that the Container Terminal and Thames I & II Depots will be closed for R&D on Monday 1 June 2020 due to the Queen’s Birthday public holiday. Any vessel operations are unaffected by this closure.
