An exercise to test Napier Port’s security procedures has ended.
These annual exercises, required under the Maritime Security Act 2004, see Napier Port’s ‘business-as-usual’ Security Level 1 increased to Security Level 2.
The exercise has been observed and audited by Maritime New Zealand to ensure Napier Port and its supporting agencies are prepared in the unlikely event of an actual security threat.
Thank you for your assistance and patience with any inconvenience related to the exercise.
