Napier Port has handled a record five million tonnes of cargo this year.
Napier Port sets a new cargo record
Thanks to local businesses, our region is thriving.
All sorts of cargo records have been reached at Napier Port. We’ve had a 37 percent increase in log exports and shipped 13.5 million cartons of apples. Our team packed more than 50,000 containers at our on-site packing operation.
And our cargo volumes are set to grow for years to come.
And as our region grows, Napier Port is growing to keep local businesses connected to the world.
We’ll be celebrating this new cargo record via Facebook, so be sure to check in over the next two weeks.

Sustainability aligned with global goals:
At the United Nations summit meeting in September 2015, world leaders adopted 17 global goals (and 169 targets) as a set of universal goals that aim to address the urgent environmental, political and economic challenges facing our world. These are known as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
More information on the SDGs and how Napier Port’s Sustainability Strategy aligns to these can be found here >>
