We’re likely to use two types of dredges to carry out the dredging programme.

A backhoe dredge would dredge firmer material, while a trailing suction hopper dredge is more suitable for dredging sand and silt. The trailing suction hopper dredge is fitted with modern turbidity control devices, which reduce the dredge plume.
