As of October 1, 2023, Port Pass cards will increase to $50 per card. The card is still valid for five years.
Since introducing the Port Pass access management system in 2019, we have managed to hold the rate at $40 per card (including initial H&S induction). The cost increase will help us to continue to improve our health and safety and security services across the port.
Last year, we added a Company Administrator login portal making it more efficient for companies to manage employee registrations and induction renewals. Additionally, we have also invested in bringing Napier Port’s security in-house in order to provide a greater level of service to port users.
Please note, there is no change to the H&S Induction renewal cost of $5, which is valid for two years before expiring.

Thank you once again for your ongoing support of the Napier Port Port Pass access system and helping to make Napier Port a safer place.
At the United Nations summit meeting in September 2015, world leaders adopted 17 global goals (and 169 targets) as a set of universal goals that aim to address the urgent environmental, political and economic challenges facing our world. These are known as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
