A security exercise is being run at Napier Port today.
Under the Maritime Security Act 2004, all ports are required to run a practical scenario that tests their security procedures once a year.
Today’s scenario is a multi-agency exercise. You may see Police or New Zealand Defence Force personnel at Napier Port, but there is no reason to be concerned.
Sustainability aligned with global goals:
At the United Nations summit meeting in September 2015, world leaders adopted 17 global goals (and 169 targets) as a set of universal goals that aim to address the urgent environmental, political and economic challenges facing our world. These are known as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
