Please be aware that we expect to restrict shipping at our container terminal (5 Wharf) from Sunday evening (23 May) until early Friday morning (28 May), due to a very strong swell event forecast for Napier. Given the shipping restrictions, container export receival open times will be significantly delayed. Please refer to our shipping schedule available here for the latest information on recieval window timings.

Please also note that there may be impacts to bulk vessel shipping across this time period, but this will be assessed as and when the swell event arrives at the port.

Based on forecasts, we expect conditions to ease from Friday morning (28 May), but we will be assessing the swell event constantly and will update you if there is any improvement.

We appreciate that these restrictions will cause further disruption to what has already been a very challenging season. Thank you in advance for your understanding and rest assured our teams will be working hard next week to manage this event as efficiently as possible.
