Please be aware that traffic management will be in place outside both the Eastern and Western entrances to Napier Port this Saturday 26 August, to ensure the safety of those taking part in the Sotheby’s Hawke’s Bay Marathon.
There are close to 6000 people taking part in the marathon, with the event starting in Anderson Park, Napier. The intersections at both port entrances will be controlled by marshals under a Stop/Go set-up. A number of road closures will also be in place around Ahuriri and Napier – see the full list here.
Please advise your drivers to expect potential delays, and to look out for runners, walkers and traffic marshals when entering and exiting the port.
At the United Nations summit meeting in September 2015, world leaders adopted 17 global goals (and 169 targets) as a set of universal goals that aim to address the urgent environmental, political and economic challenges facing our world. These are known as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
