We’re majority-owned by the Hawke’s Bay Regional Investment Company

Napier Port (legally known as Port of Napier Ltd) is 100% owned by Napier Port Holdings.

55% of Napier Port Holdings is owned by the Hawke’s Bay Regional Investment Company, and 45% is listed on the New Zealand Stock Exchange, where our investors include both institutional and ‘mum and dad’ investors.

What is the Hawke’s Bay Regional Investment Company?

Hawke’s Bay Regional Investment Company (HBRIC) is a company that was created by the Hawke’s Bay Regional Council (HBRC). The role of the company is to manage some of HBRC’s larger infrastructure investments within Hawke’s Bay, in order to enhance the economic well-being of our region. This includes both current investments and future projects.
