Napier Port is home to a wide array of wildlife.

We work closely with the Department of Conservation and local experts to understand the behaviour and needs of the flora and fauna of our port. This understanding helps us to protect the species that live here and the habitats they live in.

The fish, birds and mammals that live in and visit the port include both common and protected species. If you’re visiting Napier Port, you might like to keep your eyes open for some of the local wildlife.
