Please be aware that Napier City Council (NCC) is planning to undertake rock stabilisation works on Bluff Hill next weekend from 6am on Saturday 1 August to 10pm on Sunday 2 August 2020. Breakwater Road (SH50) between the Marine Parade/Coote Road intersection and the Hornsey Road/Breakwater Road intersection will be closed during this time, with a Traffic
- Operational Restrictions: Container Vessel Bay Aft of the Bridge

From 1 September 2020, Napier Port will no longer be able to work the bay directly behind the bridge of container vessels. This operational restriction is due to the construction of Napier Port’s new 6 Wharf, which is planned for completion in late 2022.

Now that we are at Alert level 1 and have reached the end of our traditional export peak season, we will be lifting the seven day container receival window, effective from Monday 22 June.
- Port Pass update: Card collection resuming and readying for go-live

Now that we are at Alert level 1 Port Pass card collections will resume from Monday 15 June 2020. Also, our high-tech infrastructure system to support Port Pass is on track to be completed and up and running in August. Once this system is live, all port users will need to have a Port Pass card to access Napier Port.

- R&D Closure on Queen’s Birthday

Please note that the Container Terminal and Thames I & II Depots will be closed for R&D on Monday 1 June 2020 due to the Queen’s Birthday public holiday. Vessel operations are unaffected by this closure.
- Napier Port Access without a Port Pass Card

Port Pass card collections will continue to be suspended at Alert Level 2 until further notice. Please note that a health and safety induction certificate must be presented at Napier Port, either as a hard copy print out or a screenshot on a phone, in order to gain access to the port.
