Port Pack

Port Pack

Your all-weather central point.

Port Pack is a paved, covered area for all-weather packing or devanning and high-pressure sodium flood lighting. Shippers using Port Pack’s 8700m2 transit storage facility have the advantage of delivering cargo to a central point for packing and presentation direct to the container terminal.

Designed for all weather packing and road and rail receiving

Additional open storage is available for non-weather sensitive cargoes.

Port Pack operates a range of 4.0 to 18.00 tonne capacity container compatible forklifts. It also operates dedicated container moving forklifts with Verified Gross Mass (VGM) weighing capabilities.

Experienced staff are skilled at packing and devanning all types of unitised cargo. They are able to provide advice with load plans and packing to maximise container stow.

Customers delivering bulk cargo to Port Pack don’t need to pre-arrange this with Napier Port. But if you are delivering bulk cargo elsewhere in the container terminal, please use our General Cargo Vehicle Booking System (VBS). This helps us know what to expect, and when to expect it.

Please advise us of your delivery by 9:30am, on the day prior to your delivery. We need to know: the delivery date; the transport operator name; your customer name; the type of product; the number of loads; and any special requirements. Please email these details to: PortP@napierport.co.nz

Following this, please book your delivery timeslot via the General Cargo VBS. Delivery timeslots are available in 45 minute intervals between 07:00am and 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. Please book your delivery timeslot at least 2 hours before arriving at Napier Port.

If you have any questions, please email our Port Pack team: PortP@napierport.co.nz
