Port Pack is a paved, covered area for all-weather packing or devanning and high-pressure sodium flood lighting. Shippers using Port Pack’s 8700m2 transit storage facility have the advantage of delivering cargo to a central point for packing and presentation direct to the container terminal.

Additional open storage is available for non-weather sensitive cargoes.
Port Pack operates a range of 4-tonne to 18-tonne capacity container compatible forklifts. It also operates dedicated container moving forklifts with Verified Gross Mass (VGM) weighing capabilities.
Experienced staff are skilled at packing and devanning all types of unitised cargo. They are able to provide advice with load plans and packing to maximise container stow.
Customers delivering bulk cargo to Port Pack don’t need to prearrange this with Napier Port. But if you are delivering bulk cargo elsewhere in the container terminal, please use our Port Pack Vehicle Booker. This helps us know what to expect, and when to expect it.

Following this, please book your delivery timeslot via the Port Pack Vehicle Booker. Delivery timeslots are available in 45 minute intervals between 07:00am and 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. Please book your delivery timeslot at least two hours before arriving at Napier Port.

These dimensions allow for safe forklift handling, including fork tynes underneath cargo and an angled approach to pushing pallets into containers.
