Important Update: Changes to Export Cargo and CEDO Cut-Off Times – 31 August 2026

Kia ora,
To support more efficient planning and improve the flow of export cargo, we are making changes to our export cargo and documentation cut-off times.
These changes will give our planning and operations teams earlier visibility of export receivals, enabling the Port to optimise vessel planning, improve terminal efficiency and provide greater certainty across the supply chain.
These changes will take effect from Monday 31 August 2026 and will apply to all container shipping services.
What’s Changing?
New Cargo (Container Receival) Cut-Off
Cargo cut-off will move to 10:00am on the day before vessel arrival.
For example, if a vessel is scheduled to arrive on Wednesday, the cargo cut-off will be 10:00am on Tuesday.
New CEDO Cut-Off
All export containers must have a valid CEDO submitted by 12:00pm on the day before vessel arrival, including containers accepted under the Late Receival process.
For example, if a vessel is scheduled to arrive on Wednesday, the CEDO cut-off will be 12:00pm on Tuesday.
What Isn’t Changing?
Export Receival Window
The export receival window will continue to open seven days prior to vessel arrival.
Requests for Early Receival
Requests for Early Receival will continue to follow the existing process – email your Shipping Line approval to earlyreceival@napierport.co.nz.
