Log Yard Roadway Changes Commencing Today
Recently, we have been experiencing significant congestion issues approaching the new log yard roundabout from the south. In order to resolve this situation, we will be making some changes to the road layout adjacent to Light Tower 10.
Please be aware that the smaller bark sweep area located underneath Light Tower 10 is being changed to an exit road only and is not to be used for sweeping off bark. All trucks will need to use the bark sweep area located on the eastern side of the roundabout instead.
Trucks delivering to F Area must drive across the front of D Area and use the Bark Sweep Off Area there (as pictured below). Please communicate on the radio before doing so.
The new road layout will allow two trucks to approach the roundabout from the south (as pictured below). Trucks should only enter the new entry lane if it is safe to do so and must not overtake when they are unable to see oncoming traffic.
In order to help communicate the above changes a sign will be placed on the end barrier (yellow arrow pictured below) informing drivers of the Exit Lane change, and cones will be used to extend the lane further out (red line pictured below).
Important Note: A number of barriers north and south of the F Area entrance will need to be moved to provide enough space to widen the roadway to three lanes. If this new layout proves successful, we will look to get new road markings painted accordingly. Please be patient and stay safe when navigating this area of the port.
In the meantime if you have any questions or concerns about the above information, please contact me on email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 06 833 4404.

Sustainability aligned with global goals:
At the United Nations summit meeting in September 2015, world leaders adopted 17 global goals (and 169 targets) as a set of universal goals that aim to address the urgent environmental, political and economic challenges facing our world. These are known as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
