Maersk confirms seasonal Southern Star service to Napier Port
November 6th, 2025
Kia ora,
We’re very pleased to share that Maersk has confirmed a seasonal Southern Star call to Napier Port, beginning 31 March 2026, with nine weekly vessel calls planned through the peak export season.
This follows a strong export season for Hawke’s Bay producers in 2025 and reflects continuing confidence in our region’s trade performance. The service provides direct weekly access to Asia and beyond, connecting regional exporters into Maersk’s global network via Southeast Asia.
We look forward to another great season supporting our customers and community to deliver Hawke’s Bay products to the world.
At the United Nations summit meeting in September 2015, world leaders adopted 17 global goals (and 169 targets) as a set of universal goals that aim to address the urgent environmental, political and economic challenges facing our world. These are known as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
