Operational Planning Change – Vessels will now berth Starboard side to on 6 Wharf
Following the opening of 6 Wharf earlier in the year, our marine and container operations teams have been working through an optimisation process, tied to efficiency and safety improvements. As a result of this process and a further update on operational planning going forward, we now ask all vessels calling at Napier Port to plan for starboard side to berthing on 6 Wharf.
This new change to starboard side to provides flexibility for vessels calling Napier to berth at 5 or 6 wharf without operational disruption.
6 Wharf Operational Planning
Please note, the restrictions that were previously in place for work on the starboard side of the vessel will now swap to being on the port side of the vessel.
There are still weight restrictions relevant to our 6 Wharf operations, and these are outlined in the image below and reflect the change to starboard side to berthing.
Thank you for your understanding. If you have any questions, please contact me on email@example.com or +64 6 833 4413.

Sustainability aligned with global goals:
At the United Nations summit meeting in September 2015, world leaders adopted 17 global goals (and 169 targets) as a set of universal goals that aim to address the urgent environmental, political and economic challenges facing our world. These are known as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
