Operational Planning Reminder
Kia ora, As we head into our traditional peak season period, please ensure your planning teams are aware of the operational parameters in place for our container operations on wharves 5 and 6.Import FCL Cargo weight restrictions and Starboard side to berthingNapier Port’s import FCL cargo weight restrictions are as follows (and indicated in the image below):
- All import FCL cargo >26 tons must be loaded inboard of row 08
- Only import FCL cargo <26 tons can be loaded outboard of row 10
These restrictions are in line with our starboard side to berthing on both wharves. Starboard side to provides flexibility for vessels calling Napier to berth at either 5 or 6 wharves without operational disruption.

Thank you for your understanding. If you have any questions, please contact me on robertr@napierport.co.nz. Ngā mihi, ROBERT VAN ROOYENWAREHOUSING AND ACTING CONTAINER TERMINAL MANAGER

Sustainability aligned with global goals:
At the United Nations summit meeting in September 2015, world leaders adopted 17 global goals (and 169 targets) as a set of universal goals that aim to address the urgent environmental, political and economic challenges facing our world. These are known as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
More information on the SDGs and how Napier Port’s Sustainability Strategy aligns to these can be found here >>
