Now that we are at Alert level 1 Port Pass card collections will resume from Monday 15 June 2020. In order to work through the backlog of uncollected cards, we will be sending an automated report, twice per week, to each Company Administrator containing a list of employees that still need to collect their card. Company Administrators will need to advise their people that their cards can be collected at the locations and times below.
Port Pass card collection details
Port Pass cards can be collected from Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am – 3pm. Please bring the same ID used in your registration application as proof of identity, and collect your card from the following locations:
- Napier Port Main Office – Contractors, stevedores, shipping agents or small vehicles (use the reception phone and call 06 833 4520 for assistance)
- Western Gate – LANE 1 ONLY – Container truck drivers or Port Pack-destined truck drivers
- Eastern Gate – Log, fertiliser or any other large trucks (Note: small vehicles will be redirected to Napier Port Main Office)
Group collections – Excluding Western Gate traffic, if you have five or more staff to collect their cards, please contact the Port Pass Administrator on 06 833 4520 to make the necessary arrangements.
Port Pass go-live in August
Our high-tech infrastructure system to support Port Pass is on track to be completed and up and running in August. Once this system is live, all port users will need to have a Port Pass card to access Napier Port. Please note that users with old or temporary versions of the port access card will not be able to use these once the Port Pass infrastructure is live. Further details to follow in the coming weeks.
If you haven’t completed an application, you can register for the Port Pass ID card and complete our health and safety induction through the Port Pass website.
If you have any questions about Port Pass, please contact our team at support@portpass.co.nz.
