R&D Update: Napier Port Gate & Depots Closed On Saturdays From 20 June 2026

Please be advised, Napier Port will be reducing R&D opening hours at our Container Terminal Western Gate and Thames St I and II Depots – we will be closed on Saturday’s from this weekend 20 June 2026.

*Late process – zones 18 & 19
On the days marked with an asterisk (*), Napier Port will offer a late process for import and export containers, provided the following conditions are met:
The export container has been pre-advised through the Propel Export Pre-Advice Portal or business-to-business EDI messaging by 1700hrs.
The import container to be collected is a specific nominated container and not a hazardous or out of gauge container (no block stack containers).
The container has a Propel VBS booking, with a truck registration included in Propel by 1700hrs.
The truck enters through Port Security at the Eastern Gate (Marine Parade end) from 1740 to 2000hrs.
