Shipping restrictions update
The strong swell event at Napier Port is subsiding. We are pleased to advise, based on current swell forecasts and conditions, that we are planning for shipping to resume at 0600 on Saturday 29 May.
This will have an impact on the begin receive windows for containerised cargo. Please refer to our shipping schedule available here for the latest information on receival window timings.
Napier Port’s container terminal and Thames Street 1 depot opening hours for receival and delivery on Saturday 29 May will be extended to 0700 to 1500.
On Saturday 29 May Napier Port’s Thames Street 2 depot will be closed for empty returns. These can be delivered to the Thames Street 1 depot.
Normal peak-season hours will resume from Monday 31 May.
We appreciate that these restrictions have caused disruption to what has already been a very challenging season. Thank you for your understanding and rest assured our teams are working hard to manage this event as efficiently as possible.
Ngā mihi,
Chris Wylie

Sustainability aligned with global goals:
At the United Nations summit meeting in September 2015, world leaders adopted 17 global goals (and 169 targets) as a set of universal goals that aim to address the urgent environmental, political and economic challenges facing our world. These are known as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
More information on the SDGs and how Napier Port’s Sustainability Strategy aligns to these can be found here >>
