Please be aware that traffic management will be in place outside both the Eastern and Western entrances to Napier Port this Saturday 18 May, to ensure the safety of those taking part in the Air New Zealand Hawke’s Bay International Marathon.
The traffic lights at our Western Gate will not be turned off, but the intersection will be controlled by marshals.
There are 750-800 people taking part in the marathon, and the majority of runners and walkers are expected to pass our entrances during these times:
Western Entrance: 8:25am – 8:55am
Eastern Entrance: 8:30am – 9:15am
A number of road closures will also be in place around Ahuriri and Napier – see the full list here. Please advise your drivers to expect delays, and to look out for runners, walkers and traffic marshals when entering and exiting the port.
Thank you for helping to keep our community safe.
